About

After entirely too many years as a sailing instructor, delivery skipper, charter boat captain and blue water cruiser, my wife Joy and I returned in October 2023 from a 24,000 mile circumnavigation of the Pacific Ocean. Sailing from Seattle to Mexico to French Polynesia to New Zealand to Glacier Bay and home, there aren’t many kinds of conditions or destinations that I haven’t experienced first hand.

More than anything else, it is that first-hand experience and knowledge that informs not only the equipment we recommend, but also the way that it is installed, with an eye toward usability, reliability and maintenance.

Location

From our base on Bainbridge Island, we work in Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, Port Townsend and throughout the Salish and Puget Sound region.
